The way you design and decorate your canopy bed will say a lot about you and what atmosphere you are most comfortable with. Talking of atmospheres the actual climate of where you live may play a major part in the canopy you choose. Here are some of the different varieties of canopies to choose from.
For hotter climes there is the mosquito net canopy and for colder environments thick drapes or curtains might be more appropriate. For children's bedrooms there are pretty decorated light canopies with embroidery or butterflies on them. Camouflage decorated canopies work well for boys. Will your canopy cover the whole bed including the roof of the bed giving a very enclosed feel or do you just want some pretty drapes to tie to the poles of the bed frame. All food for thought.
